I created this logo for Niku Niku Butcher, a premium butcher based in Singapore.

As the brand specialises in rare, high-quality cuts that are not commonly available in Japan, I wanted the identity to communicate both the exceptional quality of the products and a distinctly Japanese character through a crest-inspired symbol.

The central motif is a bone-in cut of meat, arranged within a hexagonal composition to create a balance of strength and refinement. By using a motif that immediately communicates the nature of the business while removing unnecessary decorative elements, I developed a clean and memorable brand identity.

The name “Niku Niku” also carries a friendly and approachable tone. I balanced this warmth with a restrained Japanese aesthetic and the sense of quality expected from a premium butcher, creating an identity designed to resonate with customers in Singapore.

The symbol was developed to remain clear and distinctive across applications including noren curtains, packaging, shop signage and printed materials.
