DESIGN STORY
For Bifudo, a kimono rental and photography studio in Nara, I created a logo inspired by the visual harmony of traditional Japanese streetscapes and decorative motifs.
The symbol brings together pine, fan and plum blossom motifs, which are often seen in kimono patterns, and arranges them within a single crest-like composition.
By balancing delicate linework with generous negative space, I aimed to create an identity that feels refined while remaining highly legible across shop signage, printed materials and social media.
The design was created to make the experience of wearing kimono feel even more memorable, while also serving as a distinctive and enduring visual symbol for the brand.
